Notable Neighborhoods in Suburban Richmond

The following neighborhoods are located outside of the City limits in either Northwest Chesterfield or West/Northwest Henrico County. Most SUBURBAN neighborhoods were built later than their URBAN counterparts when development practices had changed largely to accommodate the automobile. These neighborhoods, especially those developed in the 1980’s to the present, are more accurately described as ‘SUBDIVISIONS’ or ‘PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS’ making searching the homes there far easier. The neighborhoods in the suburbs, with a few notable exceptions, tend to be much more definable and more accurately searched via MLS.
